When it becomes effective

After the payment of the stamp duty, a message from the operator formalizes the suspension of the university career

Bear in mind that

The suspension must be requested for a period equal to the normal duration of the course in which the student intends to enroll.

During the period of suspension, the student is not required to pay university fees and will not be able to carry out any academic activity.

The student can request the revocation of the suspension (in case of renunciation of enrollment in the path incompatible with the university career), by subjecting himself to the payment of fees and delays for the a.y. for which he had requested the suspension (fill in the request).

The career is automatically reactivated starting from the academic year following those for which the suspension was requested.

At the end of the suspension, the student resumes his university career exactly as if the suspension had not occurred.

In what cases

For one academic year only in the following cases:

• birth/adoption of a child, the request can be submitted no later than the academic year following the date of birth or adoption;
• inability to obtain the necessary international permits (in particular the visa), to reach the University in time to attend classes

Suspension of studies can be requested for one or more academic years:

• in case of serious and prolonged illness (appropriately documented by medical certification)

120 euros for each year of non-enrollment (up to a maximum of 500 euros) + €16 stamp duty

When it becomes effective

A message from the operator, after payment of the fee and stamp duty, formalizes the reactivation of the university career

Bear in mind that

In the absence of enrollment for the a.y. 2020/21 the student can enroll in the a.y. 2021/2022 by paying 200 euros for the year of non-enrollment (or the CA due in the 2020/21 academic year if less than 200 euros)

You must be in good standing with the taxes due in the last year of active enrolment. If the last year of the enrollment is after the 2017/18 academic year (included), all installments are due. If the last enrollment was made in an academic year prior to 2017/18, 120 euros are due to regularize the unpaid second installment.

The forfeiture provision is adopted at the end of the eighth calendar year starting from the year in which the last exam was taken or if no exam has ever been taken, starting from the calendar year in which the student enrolled for the first time at the University of Calabria.

Periods of suspension/interruption are not evaluated for the purpose of calculating forfeiture

The student who is in the forfeiture or following renunciation can request recognition of the previous career.
