Administrative Secretary

The office coordinates the administrative, accounting, and financial activities of the department through the following fulfilments:

- plans the use of the resources assigned on the basis of the University's planning lines and on the basis of the structure's needs;

- collaborates in the process of drawing up the University's consolidated financial statements;

- transmits to the Central Administration the final document containing the information on the activity carried out during the financial year and on the resources used to enable the preparation of the University's single financial statements and the management report;

- enter into contracts and agreements approved by the Department Council, within the limits of the Department's budget availability and in accordance with the provisions of the Internal Regulations;

- manages income (University funding for ordinary operations, funding for scientific research from MIUR and/or other public and private entities, including through the stipulation of contracts or agreements) and expenditure for operation and ordinary maintenance, for investments, equipment, and furnishings and for scientific research, through the formulation of orders to external companies, the stipulation of self-employment contracts, ancillary payments to personnel, etc.);

- support and instruction of the practices concerning the institutional activity of the Director and of the collegial bodies of the Department (Giunta and Consiglio).

Safety and Prevention

Assist the Director and the Director's Delegate for Safety in preparing and updating the risk assessment document by providing necessary information on the processes and risks by providing all necessary information on the processes and risks to the Rector, the Prevention and Protection Service, and the Competent Physician.

Take action, on the occasion of any modification of the activities, of the use of the premises or of the work organization, or in any case of any other structural intervention, which may have an impact on the health and safety of the workers, so that the risk assessment document is updated.

Implement prevention and protection measures before starting risky activities.

Take appropriate measures so that only workers who have received adequate instructions have access to areas that expose them to serious and specific risks.

Inform and adequately train workers about the risks to their health and safety and about the related prevention measures adopted in this regard, as well as supervise that social security obligations are observed by workers.

Where required by law, request the competent Authorities to issue authorization or authorization for equipment, products, etc. (e.g. radiogenic sources, toxic gases, etc.).

Report any accidents that have occurred to the central offices in charge, even if there are no injuries, in order to improve safety conditions.

Report injuries involving all workers.
